Description
Making the work of Joan Miró accessible in unexpected ways – this was what prompted Successió Miró to approach the French porcelain manufacturer Bernardaud. After the table service made from the book Parler Seul, here is the gifts collection from the wood engravings of Paul Eluard’s poems book A toute épreuve. « A book must be made with the accuracy and precision of a clockwork machine» Joan Miró declared to the publisher Gérald Cramer in 1949: eleven years were necessary for the A toute épreuve book to see the light, well after the disappearance of the poet Paul Éluard. One will find Miró’s pictural language he reinvents every time in his paintings, ceramics or engravings.
From the original works of Paul Éluard’s poems book À Toute Épreuve.
