Description
A 48-piece silver plated flatware set in the América pattern includes service for 12 guests and comes with a storage chest. Contains 12 of each of the following: dinner spoons, dinner forks, dinner knives and coffee/tea spoons. Following the World War I, America became synonymous with modernity and the world fell in love with its music, literature, art, lifestyle and architecture. To commemorate the across-the-pond admiration, Christofle named this 1933-launched Art Deco pattern of angular corners, beveled edges and masculine lines after the country.
Created in 1933 & presented at the International Exposition of Arts & Techniques in 1937, the angular corners of this model are characteristic of the Art Deco style.
