Exotic Birds – Pair 12.75″H
This charming pair of “Hoopoe” birds is adapted from Meissen porcelain originals, circa 1725. The originals were made by Joachim Kaendler, who made many figures of birds and animals kept in the zoos and aviaries of his patron, Augustus the Strong, Elector of Saxony and King of Poland.
