Gabriel Currant Dinner Plate 10″D
When the ancient Roman city of Pompeii was unearthed in the early 18th century, designers of the time revived the classical motifs such as the angels and laurel wreaths. Our trumpeting archangel Gabriel is adapted in porcelain from a rare pattern book dated 1777.
Now it is in the collection of Colonial Williamsburg.
